Fosilni Breg, meaning “Fossil Hill,” is a distinctive single vineyard at Domaine Ciringa, the Slovenian estate founded in 2005 by brothers Armin and Stefan Tement. Located directly across the border from their renowned Austrian winery and the famous Zieregg vineyard, the site shares the same dramatic landscape and geological heritage.

First relaunched in 2009, Fosilni Breg expresses the essence of this unique terroir: a precise, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc with remarkable tension, depth, and aging potential. Crafted in a restrained and terroir-focused style, the wine reflects the philosophy of the Tement brothers — allowing the fossil-rich soils and cool alpine influences to shape a Sauvignon Blanc that is both authentic and elegantly structured.
