Grown on Devonian slate soils with Rhyolith and parts from volcanic quartz-porphyry rock origins.
A fragrant, dry Riesling is produced from highly ripe grapes grown on vines that are at least 30 years old. The finest slate layers help to create a beguiling aromatic cocktail of mirabelle, elderflower and white peach tones.

Van Volxem

Saar wines were once among the most prestigious in the world, with Wiltingen Rieslings leading the way. Since taking over in 2000, Roman Niewodniczanski has revitalized the van Volxem estate, cultivating exceptional terroir-driven wines from steep vineyards. Today, their meticulous craftsmanship and traditional winemaking techniques produce world-class Rieslings with remarkable aging potential.
