Unlike white wine in general, Chardonnay is becoming increasingly important in terms of quantities at the winery of Philip Grassl. This comes from hand-picked grapes that grew on vines that are up to 45 years old in perfectly southeast-facing locations on the chalky, gravelly soils that this variety loves so much, and has a beautiful mineral finish. At the same time, it is smooth and therefore a brilliant, versatile accompaniment to food, for almost everything where red is not the first choice.
